Shakira and JLO Stole The Show On Super Bowl With Their Celebration Of Latinx Culture Show

Two flaming hot Latinas, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez stole the show at Super Bowl LIV! Their 14-minute-long performance was action-packed and featured a lot of the ladies’ greatest hits.

The show started with Shakira singing her 2009 hit “She Wolf.” The superstar, who also celebrated her 43rd birthday just recently, performed a combination of her hits. The included her first crossover single “Whenever, Wherever,” which came out almost 20 years ago.

Then the singer brought out Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, who joined her for a remake of Cardi B’s “I Like It.” Then she went back into one of her greatest hits, “Hips Don’t Lie,” where she surprised the crowd by diving into the audience, crowd-surfer style and making everyone lose their minds.

Then, Jennifer Lopez took over. She began with “Jenny From the Block.” Quickly, it changed over to “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” for which Colombian singer J Balvin joined her, getting on stage once again.

The crowd got the biggest surprise when J.Lo brought out a chorus of little girls to sing the beginning of “Let’s Get Loud,” led by her 11-year-old daughter Emme. Then, an overhead shot of the field during the performance showed a giant cross, which lit up in purple and yellow lights in memory of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.

Despite that, a lot of fans complained about missing the tribute and wished it had been more prominently displayed during the show, not only with the lights.

The performance was a celebration of Latinx culture, overall, but it still felt very much like American entertainment. Shakira and Jennifer finished out the show together, dancing on the podium as the crowd went absolutely crazy.
